In 2020, I earned a marketing degree, and soon after, I found my calling: helping small businesses thrive. I quickly realized that the marketing world is harsh for small businesses, especially when big companies have deep pockets and a dominant market presence. It didn't feel right to me. I saw how these large corporations often pushed small businesses aside and knew things needed to change.

Growing up in a small town, I've always valued the heart and soul of local communities. Small businesses are the backbone of any town, offering jobs, services, and a sense of belonging. Regardless of size or budget, every business deserves a chance to thrive. It's not about who can spend the most money; it's about the message you convey, the relationships you build, and the difference you make. Hey there! I’m Cheryl, and I'm so glad that you're here. I’m on a mission to help local businesses thrive. I launched b38 to stand out from other agencies and companies out there. When I embark on a journey, I often wear my yellow Crocs, which is why the colour yellow is prominent in my brand. It represents comfort, individuality, creativity and embracing who I am.

When I first started my business, I aimed to create something authentic—something that blends creativity, comfort, and personality. Yes, my yellow Crocs were a part of that vision! They’ve become a fun, unexpected part of my brand, reminding me that there’s no need to take life (or work) too seriously. It’s a little bit of happiness and a little bit of energy, and I strive to bring that spirit into everything I do.
